2016 PLAYSCHEME VOLUNTEERING
APPLICATIONS NOW CLOSED
Dear Playscheme Volunteer,
So you’re interested in becoming a Playscheme volunteer? Well I don’t blame you…….You could become part of one of the most successful schemes in the region as well as one of the most FUN!
This year our Playscheme runs Tuesday – Friday, 26th July to 12th August. 10.00am-12.30pm
Volunteers play an essential role in the running of the Playscheme. In fact the Playscheme would not take place if the people just like you did not give some of their valuable time and the local children would miss out on what has become one of the most successful Playschemes in the area. Last year 40+ individuals just like you volunteered hours of their time and energy towards staffing the Playscheme.
Volunteering can be exactly what you want it to be – giving a lot back to the community, getting out of the house and meeting people, it is also a great way of building your CV and learning new skills! It is also of course, 3 weeks of fun! You can volunteer for as much time as you want or are able. 1 day, 1 week or all 3 weeks…..it’s up to you.
To download on this page, you’ll find 2 forms (click on form to download)
“Volunteer Application Form” (all applicants to complete)
“Equality Monitoring Form” (to be completed by applicants aged 18+ years only).
If you wish to be able to take part in this year’s Playscheme then please register your interest by completing the appropriate forms and returning them to the office at the centre, by the 27th June 2016 at the latest. This is to enable the administration to be processed and inductions to take place prior to the start of Playscheme 2016! Please put your form in a sealed envelope and mark it: F.A.O Lisa Barnes, you will then be invited in for an informal meeting.
I look forward to meeting you….as will the rest of the team and of course
Please read over the following sections 1,2 & 3, this will cover the person specification and role descriptions for your information in relation to volunteering for our Summer Playscheme 2016.
